Any of our students having a great idea and an entrepreneurial streak, with an appetite for high achievement and a willingness to take risks, the ACNSB-BIEL can be only friend for such start-ups. The ACNSB-BIEL mission is to implement ideas to success through a structured mentoring programme and other facilities. The BIEL is located within the academic space at the serene ACNSB campus and offers extensive engagement with industry in order to channelize and refine raw entrepreneurial energies that go on to become successful businesses.
Incubation Facilities and Funding
The facilities offered to an incubatee are:
- A faculty guide or industry mentor
- A cubicle space with computers and Internet connectivity
- Facilities like photocopying & phone
- Access to library and Computer Centre
- Access to technology forums
- Access to network companies, offices or individuals, who could help startup ventures
- Access to expert advice from members of the facilitation panel
- Invitation to the seminars / panel discussions that are periodically held for entrepreneurs
As support to the startup, the following services are available:
ACNSB-BIEL also provides seed money support to some of the incubatee companies. The funding is primarily through government grants and its disbursement is in accordance with the guidelines that have been laid down by the primary funding agency. It is expected that the incubatees will be able to refine and sharpen the focus of their business plans during this period.
ACNSB-BIEL has a clearly defined incubation process which helps entrepreneurs realize their ideas. The objective of incubation is to produce successful companies with the potential to create jobs, commercialize new technologies, and strengthen economies.
An entrepreneur is asked to submit their ideas to BIEL center in their defined proforma. If an idea is found to be interesting enough with commercial viability, the entrepreneur is given an opportunity to present it to BIEL’s Screening Committee. After the presentation to the screening committee, the entrepreneur is informed on the possibility of its incubation within two days of the presentation.
